Dark-Art-Studios goes digital, scenery from our range has been scanned, mastered and for the first time STLs of our classic hand-sculpted pieces will be available for you guys and gals to print at home till your heart’s content. This is our first steps towards our digital vision we have for Dark Art Studios! and we have an epic selection of pieces to scan into a printable format, This is just the beginning! 

Originally hand sculpted by Byron & Oliver Townshend now digitized by 3-D scanning, above you can see some examples of the final scans, the detail is excellent and still retains that organic look which is hard to replicate when sculpting digitally.

We are proud to announce that Dark Art Studios is making its first steps into the world of digital printing with the release of the Ogre Gore Master a re-imaging of a piece which was one of Byron’s first creations, this month also sees the release of a set of 8 heraldic shields with more to follow. We plan to continue releasing hand crafted miniatures in a physical form using traditional techniques, but we are also excited to bring you more digital work including more updated sculpts from our back catalogue.
